Name Tags: You are… Holy

I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy.

Leviticus 11:44 (NKJV)

It is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:16 (NKJV)

On Earth, HOLY is a special name tag. It's best written with invisible ink worn under your shirt and over your heart.

Therein, people can't see this grand label, but the emblem and the Hand Who wrote it are conspicuous in the spirit realm.

It marks you as part of God's family with the rights and privileges therein. Demons will test you as the Lord allows.

Angels will back you up ETERNALLY. Both sides know you're set aside for the Lord. This name tag isn't meant for human eyes.

But…

Some saints misrepresent the word, HOLY:

  • When they look down on sinners with proud eyes,

  • When they hurl Bible quotes from damning mouths,

  • When they strut around with pretentious steps…

  • They distance themselves from THE Holy One!

Within Easton's Bible Dictionary, consider how holiness is defined:

'Holiness--in the highest sense belongs to God, and to Christians as consecrated to God's service... Personal holiness is a work of gradual development. It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance.' *

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Holiness is best seen in how you act:

  • By treating everyone you meet kindly.

  • By showing love when love isn’t easy.

  • By welcoming strangers and foreigners.

  • By opening your heart to the lonely.

  • By giving generously to the poor…

By copying your King as best you can and remembering to humble yourself.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
