Trailblazers: Enlighten Lost Adults

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

Isaiah 9:2 (NLT)

Often, lost children become lost adults. I was one. We live in uncertainty.

We're uncertain of life's purpose or plan. We’re uncertain if love can be trusted– and even more, if we’re worthy of love. We’re…

  • Uncertain WHO God is– or if He’s real,

  • Uncertain WHAT path is the one for us,

  • Uncertain WHEN to push through or to quit,

  • Uncertain WHERE happiness can be found,

  • Uncertain WHY our hearts feel so empty,

  • Uncertain HOW to discover the truth,

  • Uncertain if ANYTHING is worth it!

We move from distraction to diversion. We sit, plan, work, shop, hurry, worry… and carry on like there's no tomorrow– since we don't know if “tomorrow” exists.

Eternity is a foreign concept. We pin our hopes on someone or something, but it’s like “Pin the tail on the donkey”... where lives and loves are blindfolded “games”.

For most of us, silence is NOT golden. It's scary, because “nothingness” is there. Unanswerable questions assault us. Invisible enemies surround us.

Most of us see Christians as hypocrites: big talkers and self-appointed judges, who act like they’re “holier” than we are.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

How can you reach and help lost sheep (people)? It’s easy to find us. We’re EVERYWHERE. As the Lord says, you'll know us by our fruits: anger, depression, worry, impatience, self-centeredness, and immorality, “None” is our faith, and we lack self-control.

(Old me, too… except immorality and fleeting glimpses of light and love)

Here's how to reach us. Blaze a new trail of LOVING your neighbor. Come into our world! Show us the fruit of the Holy Spirit: 'Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness' (and) 'self-control' (Galatians 5:22-23).

At a minimum, with acts of kindness, you’ve planted a seed. At a maximum, some will ask you the REASON for your hope!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
