Trailblazers: Embrace Lonely Orphans

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

James 1:27 (ESV)

150,000 million orphans! That’s one staggering worldwide estimate.* Surely not, but if so, why so many?

They’re victims of natural disasters, tragic accidents, religious zealots, brutal poverty, addicted parents, and ruthless military aggression.

We imagine them in orphanages that we’ve read about or seen in movies– with hard beginnings and happy endings. Among caring people, that’s possible. But…

Some live as street urchins or human slaves, with their childhoods savagely ripped away.

In clear terms, God charges US with their care. We’re told to visit and help as we can. Some selfless adults do exactly that!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Other than adopting or donating, can YOU DO something meaningful for them? YES! You can rise and shine in media’s fields. Because countless kids have access to screens, including those with absentee parents.

For various reasons, they’re uninvolved, uncaring, or, at the worst.. abusive.

If your talent captures their attention, if how you look and act is positive (especially your off-screen behavior)...

You can become a light and a trail guide, showing a path most children haven’t seen– pointing toward the Ultimate Father, Who is REAL and loves them beyond measure.

You can let them know the happy endings they’ve dreamed about can come true for them, too… if they hold on, look up and move forward.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
