Losers: Jesus & Us!

Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Matthew 16:24-25 (NKJV)

In one horrifying crucifixion…

  • Jerusalem’s most notable leaders,

  • Disciples, who had served and followed Christ,

  • His mother, who had remained close to Him,

  • Pilate, who reluctantly sentenced Him,

  • Soldiers who beat and nailed Him to the Cross,

  • And countless other on-site witnesses...

Saw Jesus as the world’s biggest loser… and for three days, it seemed like they were right.

But in the best surprise ending of all, He became the BIGGEST WINNER OF ALL!

Jesus defeated Satan, sin, and death (not for Himself, since He was already the Almighty One and the King of kings). Our Captain defeated Satan for us!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your role as His followers takes courage and extraordinary self-sacrifice, which means you and I must be losers, too.

  • Losing self-focus and self-indulgence,

  • Losing the desire for trophies and crowns,

  • Losing lust, greed, lies, hatred, and envy.

  • Losing prejudice and people-pleasing,

  • Losing excuses and putting things off,

  • Losing fear that whispers, “You can’t do this,”

Because beyond these losses IS YOUR WIN! Jesus already opened the right door. He already defeated the devil…

So you, His performing ambassadors… can push back evil and love your neighbors: a wonderful show of love in action– that will make the Audience of One smile (and will make your life, here and now, worthwhile!)

Losers: Jesus & Us! (Part 33, Conclusion)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
