Becoming: Warriors
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (ESV)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
If you 'Fight the good fight of faith' (1 Timothy 6:12),
'As a good soldier of Jesus Christ' (2 Timothy 2:3),
'Against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms' (Ephesians 6:12)...
Then you must become warriors for Christ. But warriors aren't milk-fed baby saints. They're well-seasoned and mature believers.
Consider 3 thought-provoking questions:
Are too many American Christians suffering malnutrition of The Word?
Has our spiritual growth been stunted by large amounts of baby formula?
Are The Word’s hard parts cut into sound bites– with back pats, sly winks, and sugar on top?
'For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the Word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil' (Hebrews 5:13-14).
By uncomfortable indications, some big churches run like smart restaurants. To keep the paying customers happy, pastors follow a common recipe:
Scroll through the Bible.
Choose the softest cuts.
(Skip the tougher chews.)
Make sure it tastes good.
Package it nicely.
Serve it up quickly.
Get smiles, if you can.
Shake hands at the end!
Thus prompting the crowd…
To come back again.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
As warriors in Entertainment’s fields, you fight with love, wisdom, and excellence. As warriors in realms of the Spirit, you fight the devil with the Word of God. So learn It, eat It, and grow from Its strength!
Because your victory in media is like Clark Kent as an ace reporter. Your day job sets you up for your real job: namely, to fly around and save the world. Except Jesus is the TRUE SUPERMAN, and you're Lois Lane: His brave and beautiful love interest:)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
