Losers: Promiscuous People

Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

At dawn He appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around Him, and He sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”

John 8:1-5 (NIV)

How many times and with how many men had this adulteress broken God’s Law? We don’t know, but I don’t think it matters.

‘For the person who keeps all of the laws except one… is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws’ (James 2:10).

Doesn’t God hate and judge fornication? Yes, but He hates and judges “judges”, too! Maybe even more? Because haughty eyes and spreading strife are among His 7 Abominations.*

Jesus was clear and said repeatedly (in varying ways)...

‘Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?’ (Matthew 7:1-3).

Sin is sin, and ALL of us are sinners. Are we cleansed by Jesus and saved by grace? Incredibly, YES!

Speaking for me, even as a Christian– I’ve never lived even one sin-free day

  • Without one ungodly thought,

  • Without one unhelpful word,

  • Without thinking of myself…

  • So I ask God’s forgiveness,

  • And need daily repentance.

  • Should I, therefore, dare to judge? (Without a doubt, NO!)

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Promiscuity, immorality, and adultery are harmful hookups. They masquerade as “love” and injure hearts.

Bottom Line Lessons:

  1. Guard your own heart. Don’t let it get twisted.

  2. Don’t condemn those who have. Jesus didn’t.

  3. Instead, walk in unconditional love, which leads the lost to Christ’s Open Arms.

Losers: Promiscuous People (Part 6)

* Proverbs 6:16–19 lists seven things which are also abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
