Losers: Infirm People

As Jesus was walking along, He saw a man who had been blind from birth. “Rabbi,” His disciples asked Him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”

“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.

John 9:1-3 (NLT)

I was given a thorn in my flesh… Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NIV)

Why are people born with infirmities? Or disabling medical conditions? Other people are stricken over time, and life as they had known it disappears.

They lack abilities most of us have:

  • Functional eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet.

  • Normal health without unremitting pain.

  • Normal brains that follow normal patterns.

  • The freedom to go and do what we want.

Without a glorious healing by God, are they “losers” of a wonderful life?

Why does God allow these extra “burdens”? Today’s verses both talk about POWER. Specifically, the power of God– BEST WITNESSED in the midst of challenges, as success stories of overcoming– where heroes rise and shine… no matter what! *

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Infirm people deserve our deep respect. Grace under pressure is MODEL CONDUCT normally abled people can’t copy…

As Christ Personally demonstrated during His Own gruesome infirmity… God’s power transformed Earth’s Biggest Loser into the Biggest Winner of all time, Who shared His victory with each of us.

Therefore, don’t be fooled or EVER agree… with detestable labels like “LOSER”.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
