Christian Pitfalls: Lack Of Armor

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints…

Ephesians 6:10-18 (NASB)

People can’t live without a brain or a heart. Therefore, Satan keeps attacking them BOTH!

People can’t live their most meaningful lives without positive minds and loving hearts. Therefore, Satan keeps attacking them both. His goals?

  • Our misery and spiritual death.

  • Separating us from Father and Son.

  • Presenting worldly gain as a false god…

  • Therein, putting us in bondage to him,

  • And leading us down twisted, godless paths.

But Jesus came and defeated Satan! Although ‘The evil one’ (Matthew 6:13) still prowls the Earth (for reasons only God fully fathoms), our Captain showed us how to push him back!

He gave us Power: His Holy Spirit! Also, never-fail, defensive armor. When we put it on in spoken prayer, our heads and hearts are IMPENETRABLE.

And He didn’t stop there. We have His Sword! God’s spoken Word forces demons to flee!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your bright rise is the devil’s worst nightmare. To see God’s stars shining in media (that ‘The prince of the power of the air’ (Ephesians 2:2) worked hard to create and wants to control)… makes YOU a target on his radar screen. Don’t lose your resolve. Simply armor up!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
