Christian Pitfalls: Lack Of Perseverance

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)

Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

Be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)

The #1 reason performers FAIL to rise and shine in Entertainment’s fields… is NOT:

  • A lack of talent,

  • A lack of beauty,

  • A lack of money,

  • A lack of contacts,

  • A lack of courage,

  • A lack of support,

  • A lack of effort,

  • A lack of knowledge,

  • A lack of bookings,

  • A lack of credits,

  • A lack of favor… or

  • A lack of guidance.

NOTE: Some of the assets above ARE helpful. They can smooth the path and quicken the pace.

Back to the reason good performers fail:

It’s because they QUIT! They get discouraged, homesick, or lazy. They compare themselves with other people, whose paths weren’t as hard– so they second-guess, while the devil urges them to believe…

  • That they can’t succeed,

  • That God isn’t right,

  • That their dream is wrong!

Why is the Christian walk so doggone hard? BECAUSE A HERO’S WALK IS ALWAYS HARD, and you’re called to be stand-ins for Jesus!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Hold tight to your dreams and follow your heart. Avoid life’s 2nd greatest regret:* The could-a, would-a, should-a gone for it! Because you can, will, and should do it NOW. Persevere and you’ll never regret it!

Christian Pitfalls: Lack Of Perseverance (Part 63)

* As documented by end-of-life researchers, who interviewed terminally ill or near-death patients of all ages… their #1 regret? Not showing enough love to the people in their lives. But #2 is… Playing it safe. Not following their dreams, not going for it!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
