Christian Pitfalls: Lack Of Gratitude
Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:14-15 (ESV)
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 ESV
If we’re called to be Christ’s ambassadors, if God is ‘Making His appeal through us’ (2 Corinthians 5:20)...
Is our lack of gratitude APPEALING?
Does Christian complaining make God look good?
Does our situational faultfinding…
Effectively represent our Homeland?
Represent to whom? Our Father’s lost sheep!
If Jesus, God’s Spiritual Shepherd, is walking, speaking, and LOVING through us, then, certainly, some of these wanderers will hear Him through us– and follow Him home!
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Your call to rise and shine in media is commissioned for such a time as this, and ‘The prince of the power of the air’ (Ephesians 2:2), is currently leashed. He can’t stop your rise. But your complaints CAN!
The King of kings (and entertainment kings) will ONLY promote positive people.
So the next time you’re tempted to grumble, cast out those gripes and speak the antidote:
Gratitude!
Why? God allows every trying circumstance for reasons only He can understand. Each irritation tests our faith and love! When we stay peaceful, gracious, and thankful, it impresses the people around us and represents our Lord beautifully!
Good ambassadorship is accomplished, so hopefully, we’ll one day hear the words…
‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord’ (Matthew 25:23).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
