Poor People: Sad Facts

An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Proverbs 18:15 (ESV)

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His Mouth come knowledge and understanding

Proverbs 2:6 (ESV)

Reconsider yesterday's conclusions in this Devotion Series, “Poor People:”

  1. Neither ignore nor denounce poor people.

  2. They may need your help, and you may need theirs.

Now take a look at some sad-fact headlines:

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

We can see why poor people need our help, but why in the world do we need THEIR help?

A: This is an arrogant question to ask.
B: Even so, it crosses our plumped-up minds.

But if we believe on the Cross of Christ, then let's dig in the Bible for answers. I, for one, have MUCH I still need to learn…

And until we do, people are dying. Jesus is crying, and we must cry, too.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
