Christian Pitfalls: Forgetting God’s Miracles
Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”
His disciples answered, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?”
Matthew 15:32-33 (NIV)
Famously in Exodus, God’s children– who witnessed His miracles in Egypt, who crossed the recently parted Red Sea, FORGOT these wonders when they got thirsty.
Similarly, the disciples of Christ, who saw Him feed 5000+ people and many more marvelous miracles, FORGOT His wonders and His Words… OFTEN.
Naturally, in OUR limited minds, we, too, FORGET the miracles we see:
“Chance” meetings that changed the course of lives.
Car wrecks that should have hurt us, but didn’t.
Healings that doctors couldn’t understand.
Financial blessings no one expected.
Illogical things that led to great good!
King David, a man after God’s Own Heart, was a man of supernatural faith– and the Bible says faith fuels miracles. ‘All things are possible for one who believes’ (Mark 9:23).
Nevertheless, David’s faith was challenged in many of his terrible trials. His response?
‘And I said, “This is my anguish;
But I will remember the years of the right Hand of the Most High.”
I will remember the works of the Lord;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
I will also meditate on all Your work,
And talk of Your deeds’ (Psalm 77:10:12).
Sometimes, God helps us in spite of ourselves, in spite of our doubts… when we’re REAL with Him– like the dad of the demon-possessed son:
‘Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief’ (Mark 9:24).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Rising and shining for God in this world is NEVER easy, so expect hard times. Expect doubts, delays, and difficulties. Therefore, prepare your counter-offensive, so you won’t be caught off-guard by Satan.
In addition to thanksgiving, prayer, praise, and relationships with wise Christian friends…
Remember God’s marvelous miracles: those in the Bible and those in YOUR life. If they happened then, they WILL happen now!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
