The Fragility Of Life: Our Commission
All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15 (NKJV)
Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.
Luke 24:47-48 (NKJV)
Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.
John 20:21 (NKJV)
You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
Without a doubt, we serve an action God. He sent His Son, our Captain, on a mission, and He completed it GLORIOUSLY!
In the process, Jesus formed an army…
Troops powered to keep the devil away,
Troops that would increase to cover the world,
Troops that are also called ambassadors,
Because, toward men, they carry Good News,
Of love, hope, faith, peace, and life beyond earth!
And if we don’t follow Christ’s Commission, we’re charged with DERELICTION OF DUTY. (Note: These grown-up orders are for grown-up saints. Baby saints aren’t experienced enough. But given time, we’re all called TO GROW UP!)
Why? Because of the fragility of life! (Not our own, because Jesus strengthens us.)
We act for the lives of EVERYBODY ELSE. (Because without God’s strength, they pass away.)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Movies and music pass like shadows, too. Some stick in our minds, but are they lifting us?
Is every star fans copy… lifting them? Pointing them to the One Who changes lives… from passing quickly to eternal joy? (You know they don’t, but…)
You can. You do, as God commissions you!
