Mobile Technology: Press * For God
Jesus said to her, 'Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father... But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth.'
John 4:21-24 (NKJV)
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things.
Isaiah 52:7 (NKJV)
Consider our King’s call and Commission to bring light, love, and truth to a dark world.
Now consider the reign of media, where…
Mobile technology attracts our eyes to screens that promote harmful examples, leading innocent eyes and lives astray…
People label bad acts ‘entertainment’, in the guise of fun and relaxation. These devices are built by clever men.
If actors, models, and talent for Christ are the Lord’s Communication Task Force, press * to connect your fans with THE Star.
What does Jesus look like on all these screens?
He looks like you!... shining through HIS Spirit, in film, fashion, music, and theatre. He looks like your smiling, helpful presence. He looks like your uplifting performance, which glows most brightly in your OFF-stage acts.
When He spoke with the woman at the well, He made a startling worship announcement, a game-changer for all true worshippers:
God’s not confined to places or churches. Nor to Jews or one denomination. Nor to man-ordained rules, priests, or preachers.
Because He’s larger than the universe.
Because His Spirit is coming to us.
Because He chooses to live in our hearts.
Can He move through mobile technology? Yes! Because He allowed its construction.
Consider Isaiah 52:7. Consider yourself climbing the mountains of arts, entertainment and media… as modern-day ambassadors for Christ.
Within you are good tidings of good things. That's how you (and your fans) press * for God.

NOTE: This is a 2023 update of a 2013 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
