Birthday Gifts For Jesus: Myrrh
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NKJV)
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
2 Timothy 4:18 (NKJV)
In Christ’s day, myrrh was an embalming oil. Bitter, but precious, it was worth seven times its weight in gold. Myrrh was also the last of three treasures… presented by the Wise Men to Jesus.
Myrrh represents the bitterness of Earth and our Savior’s bitter death on the Cross.
But also…
The preservation of His legacy. His immortality made way for ours!
Therein, we become, 'Those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ' (Jude 1:1).
Myrrh reminds us that…
'The Lord preserves everyone who loves Him' (Psalm 145:20).
'Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it' (Luke 17:33).
Within the context of actors, models, and talent for Christ, it's all about choices, risk, and return.
If God is our choice, we must take a risk… with the talents we’re told to multiply. It seems scary, but, oh what a return!
Please note:
When we walk without common safety nets, Jesus gives us His Personal safety.
‘What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’ (Romans 8:31)
‘For the Lord is our defense’ (Psalm 89:18).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
You share the invaluable gift of myrrh by preserving your Savior’s legacy.
Birthday Gifts For Jesus: Myrrh (Part 3, Conclusion)
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
