The Armor Of God: Do We Need It Anymore?
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (NIV)
Considering spiritual warfare, many churches and pastors don’t preach it– nor do they teach it.
Why?
They fear being perceived as negative.
They dread being labeled as “extremists.”
They prefer to share easier lessons.
They like to see congregants laugh and cheer.
And perhaps…
They’ll scare newcomers or unseasoned saints.
They’ll soil their “holier than thou” image.
They’ll lose members and tithes to pay their bills.
Considering Christians under attack, they seem oblivious or unconcerned about the devil.
Do they believe…
Spirit-filled believers won’t be attacked. FALSE. (God’s Own Son was attacked repeatedly.)
Church attendance will protect worshippers. FALSE. (Jesus cured and delivered in temples.)
When Jesus rose in triumph, Satan left. FALSE. (Peter and Paul said just the opposite.)
21st-century children of God: Don’t dare to believe a white-washed Gospel, where all things distasteful have been removed… or covered up by sugary sermons.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Stay prepared for unrelenting attack. 'Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour' (1 Peter 5:8).
Without a doubt, you DO need God’s Armor. Since you’re in enemy territory, performing in a way that pleases God…
Congratulations! You’ve made it to Satan’s Greatest HIT List.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If anything I write is on point and agrees with His Word, it’s not from me. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
