Your Resume: In The Eyes Of God And Men

Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4 (NKJV)
We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.
2 Corinthians 6:3 (NKJV)

1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV)
Basically, we have two resumes. We write one, and our Lord writes the other. Certainly, God's recording of our work is MOST important.
NOTABLY:
Both are based on earthly accomplishments.
CRUCIALLY:
How do we define our accomplishments?
The work resumes we write for ourselves highlight our top skills and abilities.
The resumes our Father writes for us highlight HIS top skills and abilities.
As a Man, Jesus was perfectly clear about the Source of His accomplishments:
'I can of Myself do nothing' (John 5:30).
Therein, the resume of the Rabbi, His stunning miracles, signs, and wonders… all pointed back to His Awesome Father.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Is it possible to have resumes that please both the Heavenly King of kings and the earthly kings of entertainment?
Yes!
By God’s power, by your own good choices, and by the wisdom that comes from above!
If you live a life of love and service, your resume in the Book of Life glows.
If you perform with stand-out excellence, your industry resume WILL glow, too.
Mainstream media demands excellence. Christian media requires excellence. So– work your hardest. Go beyond “standard” to lift God's standard.
Your Resume: In The Eyes Of God And Men (Part 4, Conclusion)
NOTE: This is a 2023 update of a 2014 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
