To The End: Outwitting The Thief

All this I have told you so that you will not fall away.

John 16:1 (NIV)

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

John 16:33-34 (NIV)

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:12-14 (NIV)

As actors, models, and talent for Christ, you must be wise in the ways of Jesus and be cunning in the ways of the world.

Because 'Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour' (1 Peter 5:8).

Because 'The Prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2), doesn’t to see you on his airwaves.

Because he can’t claim you as 'God's elect' (Romans 8:33), the least he wants is to steal your witness.

If he can't tempt you to lower God's standard, 'Declare among the nations, proclaim, and set up a standard' (Jeremiah 50:2), then he’ll tempt you to drop the ball and quit.

Far more importantly, your Father says, 'Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My Soul has no pleasure in him' (Hebrews 10:38).

Why is this mission so vital to Him?

Because millions of His children are lost. They roam our confusing world defenseless--without realizing the 'Great Shepherd' (Hebrews 13:20), Whom you represent.

Or they push through this world in defiance- as desperate rebels without a cause. But remember, 'The Son of man came to seek and save those who are lost' (Luke 19:10). That includes media’s fans and felons.

Have I painted a depressing picture of media and your path within it? I hope not. I believe the opposite. The 'Father of Lights' (James 1:17) has appointed you to be His stars on this exact same field:

'You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven' (Matthew 5:14-16).
