Name Tags: You are… New Creations

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

1 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4 (NKJV)

Advertising's favorite word is NEW! Even so, God said it first. He owns it.

But the spinmeister (a.k.a. Satan) twists The Word into bait and switch sound bytes, leading lost sheep to bad destinations:

• Places where “new” is about externals,

• Places overflowing with “new” idols,

• Places where eyes and hearts can get frozen.

But for the sheep who refuse to go there:

• The ones who know newness is found in God,

• The ones who are born again through His Son,

• The ones He labels as new creations…

Satan tries to convince them they're still old: too flawed and too beaten to shine for God. He wants them sidelined and off the world's fields.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Rise, shine, show, and tell the world something new– that NEWNESS isn’t about looks or things; neither can you or any believer grow old… in the ways that count: the ways of the heart.

Even if sometimes we feel dull or stale, if old bad habits break out like acne, or if old thoughts try to capture our minds… we can shake it off. We can move through it. We can rise again! Every day is new!

If our Father calls us new creations, who are any of us to disagree?

Because in the Eyes of our Creator, we're shiny and bright with much yet to do!
