Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Ephesians 6:10-17 (NIV)
To know your enemy helps you fight well. As you gain awareness of his tactics, you build up your defenses (in God’s Word), and walk in your calling with confidence.
Clearly, the devil is our enemy. But instead of pushing his legions backs, many Christians fight his special effects:
Like hitting villains on a movie screen. We may slash and destroy the screen we watch, but countless more screens pop up in its place.
Because we haven’t beaten back THE SOURCE.*
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
You get that your enemy is Satan. Also remember (and remind your church)… who, what, and where our enemy is NOT...
Outsiders (though Satan may work through them). Even so, they’re witless accomplices.
Celebrities, setting bad examples, who’ve not YET met the Utmost Example.
Bullies, because most of them are victims, prompted by him to victimize others.
Your “old self” or the mistakes you still make, because transformation is a process!
Hard circumstances your Father allows… to teach, test, strengthen, and refine his troops.
Media (which Satan mistakenly thinks he “owns”), but you’re God’s banner in it!
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
You've entered the devil’s favorite field: the field that sets the standards for the world! But you hold the UNSTOPPABLE standard: the standard of the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!
Be encouraged: The Cross of Christ shields you! Even so, learn his warfare strategies and speak into place the armor of God.** The demons of hell will be FORCED to leave.

* When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation' (Matthew 12:43-45).
* 'This parable represents the case of the Jewish church and nation. It is also applicable to all those who hear the Word of God, and are in part reformed, but not truly converted. The unclean spirit leaves for a time, but when he returns, he finds Christ is not there to shut him out; the heart is swept by outward reformation, but garnished by preparation to comply with evil suggestions, and the man becomes a more decided enemy of the truth. Every heart is the residence of unclean spirits, except those which are temples of the Holy Ghost, by faith in Christ' (Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on Matthew 12:43-45). Link to his and other commentaries: Matthew 12:43 Commentaries: "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it.
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
