My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.
Proverbs 4:20-22 (ESV)
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3 (ESV)
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:16 (NKJV)
In the days when Jesus walked among us, countless people were amazingly healed! When we're sick or see our loved ones suffer, their stories inspire us into prayer– which is good and perfectly biblical:
'The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much' (James 5:15-16).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Many of you study breakdowns daily. Today’s message is a HEALING BREAKDOWN for your own character’s development:
HOPE: 'Faith is the substance of things hoped for' (Hebrews 11:1). Hope is the envisionment of healing. Therein, those who have a wish to be healed must picture themselves as healthy and whole– and they must speak hopeful (not hopeless) words.
FAITH: 'Without faith, it is impossible to please God' (Hebrews 11:6). So why would the Healer heal the faithless? If the Lord says faith can move our mountains, if illness and injuries are mountains, then faith calls the Holy Mountain Mover.
TRUTH/CONFESSION: 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!' (Mark 9:24). If we're honest about our shortcomings and confess them before God (and our kin), He regards our sincere humility as an open door to faith-based healing.
INITIATIVE: 'They removed the roof above Him' (Mark 2:4).* Throughout the healing ministry of Christ, His fans went the extra mile to see Him. None of them were passively expectant. They asked, sought, went, risked, raised roofs, and spoke up.
PERSEVERANCE: 'A widow in that town... kept coming to him' (Luke 18:3).** Both God and the world value persistence. People who persevere take home the prize… and, by default, quitters can't be winners.
PATIENCE: 'She had been bent double for eighteen years' (Luke 13:11). Patience to receive the Lord’s promises (wins, healing, rewards, or deliverance) is illustrated throughout the Bible. Keep the faith. Do the work, and it WILL come!
A LEMONADE STAND; 'Each day he was put beside the Temple gate... so he could beg' (Acts 3:2). If God cast you in a difficult role, would you be courageous? Or would you whine? Because the Lord rewards good attitudes.
Conclusion?
Whether healing comes sooner or later, it WILL come if we follow our Leader.***

* Full Verse: 'Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying' (Mark 2:4, NASB).
* The story of the healed paralytic also shows the value of intercession by loving friends who go the extra mile.

*** Some healings are concluded only at death. Why certain faithful people of excellent character must wait… is for God to know and for us to trust and discover at our heavenly reunion. Perhaps one reason is they exhibit such grace in suffering… that countless people are brought to Christ from their examples.
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
