The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters…

Matthew 10:24-25 (NIV)

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.”

Matthew 20:25-27 (NLT)

Some saints disregard this humble nametag, and more than a few “pedigreed” pastors, lead in this poor pedagogic practice!

For Christians to call themselves DISCIPLES, AKA “students” is MANDATORY!

SIDEBAR (that should become a leading line): It's the Bible's most-often-used nametag, written 270 times in the Gospels and 30 times in Acts.*

No matter what Bible colleges say, no person has “mastered” the Mind of God. No man, regardless of education, regardless of how long he’s “walked with God,” is The Word’s ultimate authority, interpreter, magistrate, or teacher.

That’s the Spirit’s job. Can He teach through us? YES… IF, IF, IF we stay humble enough!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Be thankful for every supporting role. Be thankful to be “accepted” students, enrolled in God’s Training Academy.

Graduation happens when you leave Earth. So while you're here, you're ALWAYS in school. As a disciple, don’t get “holier than thou” attitudes toward anyone, because you aren’t! ONLY JESUS IS!

Please note a remarkable parallel with the world’s most heralded movie stars. They know they’re students and always learning.

Therein, to please God (and Hollywood kings), wear the nametag of STUDENT with honor!

* Word Origin of Disciple: Biblical borrowing from Latin DISCIPULUS 'pupil, student, follower,' said to be from DISCERE 'to learn...' (Etymology Dictionary).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
