If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

Mark 8:34 (ESV)

Your cross is not a burden you carry, such as an overbearing relative, grinding job, wayward son, or aching back. Because Jesus says He’ll lighten your load!

'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light' (Matthew 11:28-30).

Your cross is your commission unto death. It's your duty on the war fields of Earth:

  • A duty to walk behind your Captain.

    • A duty to carry out His Orders.

    • A duty to unite with fellow troops.

    • A duty to assist them when they’re weak.

    • A duty to correct them when they're wrong.

  • A duty to engage the enemy.

    • A duty to storm through the gates of hell.

    • A duty to rescue captive brethren.

    • A duty to free hopeless prisoners.

    • A duty to defend little children.

  • A duty to help unarmed civilians.

    • A duty to be kind to all people.

    • A duty to represent God's kingdom.

    • A duty to give your life for His cause…

    • No matter the cost, no matter the way.*

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

I think media is a type of cross. It’s a hard-fought duty in a tough field:

  • A field where glory is ephemeral and the word, SUCCESS, must be redefined.

  • A field filled with the corpses of dead dreams, rising stars ABANDONED when it got hard.

  • A field some churches say not to enter (WHEN THEY FOCUS ON FEAR AND NOT THE CROSS.)

A field YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER ANYWAY, because your talents must be multiplied…

And because the light you bring to the world will help lost sheep see their Father in you… that they may come home to His Loving Arms!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
