Soldier’s Orders: Perseverance!

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

James 1:12 (NIV)

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the Founder and Perfecter of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right Hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV)

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

Concluding this series is Part 40! In the Bible, the number forty is mentioned 146 times. Biblically, it symbolizes a time of testing, trial, or probation– but also a generation of men.*

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You are…

  • Your Captain’s communication task force in arts, entertainment, and media,

  • His soldiers, facing off Satan’s Legions with the strength and authority of God,

  • His smiling and gentle ambassadors, seeking and guiding His lost sheep back home,

  • Clearing up all the misunderstandings about Who Jesus is and how He loves,

  • Standing in before the real Star’s return! Letting fans know how and why to look up!

Praise God! The time is NOW for you to rise and shine!

But, but, but…

Remember God’s Order to PERSEVERE: to continue– no matter the trials, the wait, or the doubts that seek to stop you.

In terms of MY faith and My calling (to find, prepare, and get YOU in the field)... I’m sharing my two greatest frustrations:

  • My disappointment with puffed-up people, who say they’re “Christians”, but don’t act like Christ– causing outsides to shun and avoid the light, truth, and saving grace of Jesus.

  • My surprise to see Christian performers turn around and go home too easily, which is obviously unbiblical… and the opposite of what heroes do. It’s also dereliction of duty.

So when the going gets hard, HANG IN THERE… because Jesus hung on a Cross for you!

I have faith in Him. I have faith in you! The size of your spotlight is meaningless. The pace of your success is meaningless. What means EVERYTHING is CONTINUANCE. Your “big win” is right around the corner!

Soldier’s Orders: Perseverance! (Part 40, Conclusion)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
