Soldier's Orders: An Acknowledgment Of Inferiority
Humble yourselves under the mighty Hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…
1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV)
Humility is a core Bible theme, and it’s foundational for a soldier. Why? Humility is required for learning. Why? If you're full of YOU, you can't be filled by God.
If your mind is full of your opinions, where will God's Words go?
If your heart is full of your other first loves, should God step aside?
If your time is full of your own to-do’s, how can you serve God?
As a new recruit in basic training, imagine saying to an officer: “I know this... I don’t like this... I'm busy.” (You’re looking at major repercussions!)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: acknowledge your inferiority.
Puffed-up opinions may seem important, but God says they stink.
Loving what the world loves may seem okay, but God says it’s wrong.
Christian busyness may mark church leaders, but God says, “Be still.”
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Wearing a shiny cross around your neck means nothing (or less than nothing) to God. Does it trivialize your Captain’s pain and the literal cross He chose to bear? Does it make light of this daunting order?
'Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple' (Luke 14:27).*
On the other hand, to think, feel, and act with humility… qualifies you to lead and to succeed. In His Book, 'Humility precedes honor' (Proverbs 15:33).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
