Losers: Backsliders
Though our iniquities testify against us, act, O Lord, for your Name’s sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against You.
Jeremiah 17:7 (ESV)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 (ESV)
Backsliding is a sin our Father hates. Selfish decisions can cause big-time falls, as losers choose to turn their backs on God.
Peter, who became Christ’s #1 man, was also the one who denied Him three times. His backsliding was a quick, fearful fall– BUT he recovered to stand tall for God.
The “prodigal son” had a lustful fall, but he, too, repented and recovered.
Two documented Old Testament stars, David and Solomon (father and son), forgot their faith and did some backsliding, BUT each learned, repented, and ended well.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Many Christians are quick to point fingers… and seem much slower to get on their knees and pray for the people that trouble them.
Many Christians are quick to judge their fates, and seem much slower to look for the best and show the same mercy their Savior did.
No one can know the fate of backsliders, whether or not they turned back to Jesus (even in their final moments of life). Therefore,
Let’s never call anyone a “loser”. Only God has the right to judge a heart. He clearly tells us we don’t have that right.
‘Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand’ (Romans 14:4)
Because our God is 2nd chance God… time and again, until we leave this Earth.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
