Becoming: Children Of Light

If you extend your soul to the hungry,
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Those from among you…
Shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Isaiah 58:10-12 (NKJV)

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: 

Your Father calls YOU to repair 'The breach' in a murky culture of corruption; to 'Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in heaven' (Matthew 5:16).

  • Could such a way be a different Light? One not dependent on bulbs or people, 'For the Commandment is a lamp and the Teaching is light' (Proverbs 6:23).

  • Could such a way be a pervasive Light? Not a partial light or a sometimes light, but one where 'Your whole body will be full of light' (Matthew 6:22).

  • Could such a way be a defiant Light? One that 'Shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it' (John 1:5).

  • Could such a way be a determined Light? One that will never blink, dim, or burn out, 'For the Lord will be your everlasting Light' (Isaiah 60:20).

  • Could such a way be a defensive Light? One that protects like an 'Armor of light' (Romans 13:12); 'They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed' (Psalm 34:5).

  • Could such a way be a wonderful Light? One given by 'The Father of lights' (James 1:17) and the 'Sun of righteousness' (Malachi 4:2) to 'Shine in our hearts' (2 Corinthians 4:6).

  • Could such a way be a daredevil Light? One 'To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace' (Luke 1:79).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: 

Could such a way be in media’s fields? Did God allow their massive construction to provide a platform for YOU TO RISE? 

'The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them' (Isaiah 9:2).

Are you the opening act for Jesus (when He returns to Earth in full glory)? Are you preparing the way of the Lord... again, as John did before His first show?

Therein, continue to rise as 'Children of Light' (Ephesians 5:8), 'Filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord' (Ezekiel 10:4).
