Losers: Too-Busy-Too-Grouchy People
Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things.
Luke 10:41 (NASB)
To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,
‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: “I know your works, your labor, your patience… [You] have labored for My Name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” ‘
Revelation 2:1-4 (NKJV)
I used to be a noteworthy member of the “Too Busy & Too Grouchy” club! Even now, I can forget who I am (a daughter of God, released from “prison”... including bars of my own busyness.)
Martha was also one of “those people:”
People who try TOO hard and work TOO hard,
People who don’t rest from their own labors,
People who carry loads God didn’t give,
People who get utterly exhausted…
People who handicap their own loved ones… by creating human dependencies (rather than a dependency on God!
The Ephesians were one of “those churches,” who work ceaselessly on behalf of God, rather than praying ceaselessly… IN FAITH.
Martha was delivered from busyness– therein delivered from the “Losers Club.” I believe the Ephesian church was, too.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Although God tells us to “work heartily,” don’t fall heart-over-heels in “love” with work.
Saying YES to God is a wondrous thing. Saying YES to everyone else who asks… is an exhaustive burnout (bound to happen).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
