Losers: Prodigals & Partiers

There was a man who had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.

Luke 15:11-13 (ESV)

Most prodigals are hearty partiers, rocking and rolling in a restless sea… of indulgence and intoxication.

Their highs are too high. Their lows are too low, and “shipwrecked” lives are a frequent result.

God’s Word tells us this problem isn’t new. But what IS new and extraordinary (as reported in the Gospel of Luke through the Parable of the Prodigal) are 5 key lessons:

  1. The wisdom of the selfish son’s father.

  2. The prodigal’s UNselfish contrition.

  3. The father’s overwhelming forgiveness.

  4. Their heartwarming reconciliation…

  5. To a remarkable restoration.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Entertainment is filled with prodigals. Not all of them are intoxicated, but many of them seem into parties, where irreverent behavior abounds:

  • Things you wouldn’t want naive eyes to see.

  • Things the paparazzi love to report.

  • Things many Christians publicly condemn.

Which is why YOU’VE been called to rise and shine…

  • As God’s talented and wise performers in film, fashion, music, and theatre,

  • As heartwarming ambassadors for Christ… in Earth’s most influential mission fields.

  • As ministers of reconciliation, leading lost sheep back home to The Shepherd.

The Outcome?

Prodigals and partiers do not lose, but WIN BIG… in their Father’s forgiveness.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
