Dream Haters: Mob Mentality
in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb… heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked. Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”...
But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them…
Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul.
Acts 14:8-19 (NKJV)
As a Preacher, Jesus met many crowds. Some were cheering, trying to crown Him…
‘They intended to come and make Him king’ (John 6:15). 'But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men' (John 2:24)…
While others were sneering, trying to kill Him.
'All the people in the synagogue were furious... They got up, drove Him out of the town, and took Him to the brow of the hill... to throw Him off the cliff' (Luke 4:28-29).
Therefore, learn this NOW!
Groups can be mobs, and fans can be fickle.
In the final week of His human life, multitudes cried out, 'Hosanna in the highest' (Matthew 21:9). Just days later, they cried differently: 'Crucify Him’ (Luke 23:21).
Therefore…
Jesus never sought human approval. Neither did He fear their disapproval. The Son sought only to please His Father. ‘I always do the things pleasing to Him.’ (John 8:29).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
God calls you ‘saints’, so remember its biblical meaning: 'One separated from the world and consecrated to God' (Easton's Bible Dictionary).
Also remember your Savior’s prayer: 'They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth' (John 17:16-17).
By your King’s request…
Saints are sanctified: 'Set apart for sacred use' (American Heritage Dictionary). Therefore,
'Do not be conformed to this world' (Romans 12:2), but be 'Transformed into His Image' (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Be singular, one of a kind. Look like Him. Don't listen to the world. Listen to Him. Your destiny is to lead– not follow.
If you see pigs running toward a cliff, don't join them. Only follow YOUR Leader.
While you’re following,
Don't let any crowd rain on your parade. Ignore sneers and jeers. The show must go on.
Don't let any crowd pay homage to you. Defer the glory. It belongs to Christ.
Rising and shining is your destiny, but only in reflection of Jesus.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
