Homesick: Was Jesus?

He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts.

Matthew 3:5 (NLT)

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

Matthew 23:37 (NLT)

Looking at the human life of Jesus,

  • When the twelve-year-old hung back with teachers,

  • When the Ultimate Teacher was ignored,

  • When the Healer couldn’t heal stony hearts,

  • When old friends tried to push Him off a cliff,

  • When His family thought He was crazy,

  • When early disciples turned and left Him,

  • When doubters thought His miracles were tricks,

  • When Jewish leaders plotted His murder,

  • When He wore a crown of thorns on His Head,

  • When God left Him (for a time) on the Cross...

Was Jesus homesick? I believe He was..

  • Sickened by our callous misbehavior,

  • Grieved by our self-centered indifference,

  • Disgusted by our make-believe faith shows,

  • Outraged by all the temple profiteers,

  • Fed up with religious hypocrisy,

  • Saddened by the suffering of the poor,

  • Longing to release hopeless prisoners,

  • Ready to defeat the devil’s death-grip,

  • Willing to pay the price for our release,

  • And eager for the faithful to come home!.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

If Christ, the Man, felt homesick, so can you. If He longed for Heaven’s peace, so can you. So don't feel alone in wanting better. Instead, do exactly what Jesus did.

Stay in it to win it until it’s done. Until you walk through the gates of Heaven… your home, God in Spirit, travels with you!.

Homesick: For Happiness (Part 10, Conclusion)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
