All Things: Are Judged By God

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

Matthew 7:1-3 (NKJV)

Mercy triumphs over judgment.

James 2:13 (NKJV)

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: The Lord gave you talents and roles to play, but remember what one of them is NOT:

JUDGMENT!

Judgment is a HUGE Christian stumbling block. If I said I've transcended this hurdle, I'd be the pot calling the kettle black…

Since sometimes the king of darkness “smokes” me. Like when I see Christians judging the world (instead of walking in love like Jesus). I confess to you: It makes me angry. If I called them out humbly and gently… I’d be obeying what The Word commands.

However, when Holy-Roller Christians…

Start judging and condemning outsiders, they’re also disobeying The Teacher (I dare to say in a far worse way):

  • 'Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand' (Romans 14:4).

  • 'There is one Lawgiver, Who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?' (James 4:12).

  • 'For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges' (1 Corinthians 5:12-13).

Here's the thing: We serve a God of the heart. Try as we might, we can't see what He sees.

  • Only God knows past, present, and future.

  • Only God knows all the circumstances.

Think of it this way:

When we judge the world, we're like spoiled rich kids… who are gifted with assets and talents, who belong to Earth’s finest family, who’ve been taught by the best Private Teacher, … that far too many people haven’t met!

When we call out sins among outsiders… we’re written off snobby little brats.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

The cause of Christ has been harmed by judgment– by hateful ‘holier-than-thou’ remarks.

Much like a bridge over troubled waters, your talent can span that arrogant gap. Much like God's Son Who came NOT to condemn, you become His gracious ambassadors.

Always remember, the Great Commission revolves around Good News, NOT derision.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
