Christian Pitfalls: Violence Against The Innocent
These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood…
Proverbs 6:16-17 (NKJV)
Do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.
Exodus 23:7 (ESV)
Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
Matthew 10:16 (ESV)
The laws of God and men sometimes agree, as in the shedding of innocent blood: from bodily harm to bold-faced murder.
However, only God ALWAYS repays: blessings for good and vengeance for evil. No crime is secret or hidden from Him. God sees everything.
One thing non-believers don’t realize:
God takes violence against His children PERSONALLY (like any good father.) But ONLY Earth’s perfectly good Father has the way and means of perfect justice.
“Hands that shed innocent blood; human blood; and that of persons who have not been guilty of any capital sin, for which they ought to die by the laws of God or men, and yet shed or poured out as common water; such hands must be defiled, and such men must be hateful to God– they destroying His Image, and being like to the devil, who was a murderer from the beginning.” (Gill’s Exposition on the Bible re: Proverbs 6:17).
Two things even believers can forget:
Punishment comes in God’s timing– not ours. We’re not meant to understand everything, but we ARE CALLED to believe what He says!
We are ordered to forgive offenders, because we’re not perfect. We’re sinners, too. Only Jesus can cover us (and them).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
If Corrie Ten Boom, a survivor of Nazi barbarism (from which both her sister and father died), FORGAVE a prison guard who tortured her (and showed up at a post-war church service)...
If Jesus, the Man, a Preacher Who healed everyone who asked, a Teacher Who never harmed anyone, FORGAVE the people who crucified Him(including His scoffers and deniers), then…
You, as ambassadors and publicists representing the King of forgiveness and the Father of absolute justice… must know and show your FULL faith in Jesus.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
