Ambassadors For Christ: The Triumph Of Jesus

When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.

Ephesians 4:8 (NKJV)

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross.

Colossians 2:15 (NIV)

The greatest military victory in Earth’s history depended upon Earth’s greatest display of humility. No one but God could have imagined it…

His Own Son, hanging on a Roman Cross– in a marvelous, death-defying coup!

*Recall what ‘coup’ means: 'A sudden appropriation of leadership or power; A brilliantly executed stratagem' (American Heritage Dictionary).

Jesus captured Death.

The Captain of Salvation carried Death… through narrow city streets and up the hill. He raised Death high so people could see it. In this dark process, the Hero took hits. His friends and enemies thought He was gone. But in truth, the loser wasn’t Jesus.

It was ‘The accuser of our brethren’ (Revelation 12:10): Our adversary and prosecutor with a monstrously high conviction rate. God calls him Satan. His loss to Jesus was devastating.

Without his knowledge, Jesus disarmed him. He took Satan's means of destruction (Death)… and sealed it in a barricaded tomb.

  • But soon, the Truth came out: 'He is risen' (Matthew 28:6).

  • The Prophet Isaiah predicted it: 'He will swallow up death forever' (Isaiah 25:8).

  • Once done, the Apostle Paul confirmed it: 'Death is swallowed up in victory' (1 Corinthians 15:54).

To live by this Truth, one Law remains: FAITH!

  • We must trust the King– to fly by His Wing,

  • And believe His win– to lose our own sin…

  • Then follow His path– to beat Satan's wrath.

If we refuse to see the Life-Maker and live by His Law, we're left alone with the life-taker to die by his claw.

For reasons only God fully fathoms, the devil still 'Walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour' (1 Peter 5:8).

For God's faithful elect, Satan is leashed. We may face his fury, but not his fangs. 'Oh Death, where is your sting?' (1 Corinthians 15:55).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

  • Going forward in the triumph of Jesus is your destiny.

  • Flying high on entertainment’s airwaves of media is your great delight.

  • Kneeling low in sincerity of faith is your sure defense.

  • Gaining increase in the talents you hold is your clear duty.

By your example,

Countless people will rise in praise for God (who might have fallen as prey for Satan.)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
