God’s Diplomats: Conduct Code (Joy)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

Philippians 4:4 (ESV)

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds…

James 1:2 (ESV)

And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 (ESV)

  • Joy is a choice: an intentional lifestyle.

  • Joy is light: people are drawn to its warmth.

  • Joy is found in worship, prayer, and thanks.

  • Joy is a smile that lifts those who see it.

  • Joy is the most positive contagion.

  • Joy in trials gains extra attention.

  • Joy brings Christians supernatural strength.

  • Joy puts evil spirits under our feet.

  • Joy is an invitation God accepts!

  • Joy is an ambassador’s calling card.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: You pursue the joy found in performance, because when you share with an audience, you feel most alive!

Is this joy selfish? Absolutely not! So don’t believe unhappy naysayers. Either they don’t understand (but soon will), or they’re jealous and want to steal your joy.

Here’s my big concern: When Christians showcase WOE in this dark world, when they complain about ‘conspiracies,’ when they gripe like people who have NO hope…

They tarnish their witness of Jesus Christ and represent God’s government poorly. Who wants to join a weak or sour-faced team?
