Revelation 14:12 (NKJV)
But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

The world’s highest-rising celebrities and the Bible’s highest-rising heroes… possess some common characteristics, including talent, practice, and PATIENCE!
Looking beneath their evident giftings, both sets of stars were dedicated to… determined work and dogged persistence.
Actors, models, and talent or Christ: Please note that the kings of entertainment AGREE with the King of kings in this way:
Success is built on patience: a 'tolerant and even-tempered perseverance' (Collins English Dictionary).
Because Christians serve the 'God of patience' (Romans 15:5), His major leaguers must wait patiently to receive their Lord’s promised promotion. 'Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles' (Isaiah 40:31).
The prophet Jeremiah said, 'The Lord is good to those who wait for Him' (Lamentations 3:25).
King Jesus said, 'By your patience, possess your souls' (Luke 21:19).
Benjamin Franklin said, 'He that can have patience can have what he will.'
NOTE: the penalties for IMPATIENCE include dangerous and/or deflating outcomes. Rushing a person or situation… DISAGREES with God, the Master Builder, and agrees with Satan, the Destroyer,
2nd NOTE: Impatience is like bad yeast in good dough. If the rise is rushed, then the bread falls flat.
Therefore, 'Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing' (James 1:4)...
Including your success in media!

NOTE: This is a 2023 update of a 2013 Carey Lewis Devotion. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
