Everyday Stars: Yeasayers
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7 (NKJV)
Everyday stars act uncommonly good in commonly challenging conditions. Everyday stars are unsung yeasayers. A 'yeasayer' is 'one who is confidently affirmative in attitude: one who uncritically agrees' (American Heritage Dictionary).
Agree to what?
Anything inconvenient, but helpful.
Anything that’s scary, but life-saving.
Anything that's hard, but necessary.
Anything most others won’t do, they will.
Anything God tells Him, no matter what.
Everyday stars are unknown YES people. What are some of the things YES people do?
Getting up early,
Visiting the sick,
Opposing bullies,
Defending the weak,
Obeying parents,
Respecting elders,
Welcoming strangers,
Looking for the best,
Refusing to gripe,
Holding their peace,
Taking the hard path,
And volunteering.
Didn't Jesus say 'Yes' in all these ways? Undoubtedly, we serve a 'Yes' Savior.
Consider Caleb: Early in the Jew’s journey from Egypt, Moses sent twelve leaders 'To spy out the land of Canaan' (Numbers 13:17): the chosen land promised to them by God. After returning from their spy mission, ten leaders said, 'No way.' But two said, 'Yes': Joshua and Caleb.
'Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, 'Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.' But the men who had gone up with him said, 'We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.' And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land' (Numbers 13:30-32).
The result? Forty years of wandering and preparation… until every single naysayer died and a new group of yeasayers matured. Finally, God’s people crossed the Jordan River to a 'Land flowing with milk and honey' (Exodus 3:8).
Consider Peter: Exhausted from an all-night fishing trip, Jesus sent him back into the water. 'Simon answered and said to Him, 'Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your Word, I will let down the net.' And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking' (Luke 5:5-6).
In other words, 'Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world' (Philippians 2:14-15).
Therefore, BEING A YEASAYER… is an attribute of everyday stars.

Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
