Skeptics: The Professional Kind
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
Matthew 23:23-24 (NKJV)
Professional skeptics are word bullies with a high degree of education, but certainly NOT the highest degree.
Christians must aim for the highest degree… only available straight from the Top!
'For One is your Teacher' (Matthew 23:8):
'The Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things' (John 14:26).
When Jesus was a Man, the best scholars in Israel tried to trip Him with words. Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, and lawyers hoped to find Mosaic contradictions… to show He was a fraud. But they couldn't.
'They were unable to catch Him in a saying in the presence of the people; and being amazed at His answer, they became silent' (Luke 20:26).
Sidebar:
I did well in school and thought I was smart. I was surrounded by high achievers: whiz kids and scholars who loved nothing more 'Than telling or hearing something new' (Acts 17:21). I learned the great deceit of arrogance… and that debate is a game seldom won.
Warning:
Puffed-up pundits like to draw blood with words--chiefly when dueling with the unpracticed, or anyone who threatens their power.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Walk away from professional skeptics.
'Avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife' (2 Timothy 2:23)...
'For they are unprofitable and useless' (Titus 3:9).
Also avoid sermonizing bullies, who may be Doctors of Divinity, but don’t show 'Justice and mercy and faith' (Matthew 23:23).
Turn the other cheek and skip dead debates.
Then turn the bigger cheek--and walk away.
God is your defense. Leave it to THE Pro!
‘Holier than thou’ religious skeptics are a stench in the Nose of our Father. Never believe them. Always pray for them.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings. This series is a rewrite of a prior 2014 series.
