Skeptics: The Dream-Hating Kind

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him…

Genesis 37:5 (NIV)

Anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Matthew 5:22 (NIV)

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Dream-hating skeptics are gunning for you. Most likely, you’ve already faced some. More definitely, expect to face more.

Considering Matthew 5:22, I didn’t get it, when I first read it.

  • Why is someone in danger of hellfire for using a word as common as “fool”?

  • I know calling someone a fool is rude, but it’s not what WE would call “a curse word.”

  • Clearly, the Lord sees it differently, so we must see it differently, too!

Let’s break that word down:

  • “You fool” is often shouted to dreamers,

  • Whose dreams, hopes, and visions come straight from God,

  • And when they’re shot down, dreamers get depressed,

  • Especially the most sensitive ones:

  • The ones He calls to do something unique.

  • Those destinies deserve encouragement.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

What should you do if you’re labeled “a fool,” because your dream is extraordinary?

  • If possible, don’t hang with naysayers.

  • Don’t share your dream with negative people.

  • Do put on the armor of God daily.

  • Find or form a small group of supporters.

  • Deepen your relationship with Jesus.

Pursue your destiny… no matter what.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings. This series is a rewrite of a prior 2014 series.
