At Home In Heaven: Our New Temple

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away…”

But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its Temple.

Revelation 21: 1-4, 22 (NKJV)

When Jesus came to Earth, Heaven came, too. The sin that divided sinners from God was cleaned, covered, and fully forgiven, by the sacrificial death of His Son.

Jesus broke down the 'Wall of separation' (Ephesians 2:14) that long divided God from His people… with a wondrous value-added bonus: He asked “outsiders” (us) to join Him, too!

  • 'The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom' (Mark 15:38).

  • As the Temple of His Body crumbled, Jerusalem’s temple would soon follow.

  • 'Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down' (Mark 13:2).

But Salvation’s Grand Captain had a grand plan: As He went down, He pulled Satan down, too…

With one extraordinary difference: Jesus rose– to stay on top FOREVER.

Satan can’t rise, but only fall further.

  • God served him with a foreclosure notice. He and his demons live on borrowed time… with intensifying desperation.

  • He seethes like a snake, roars like a lion, wheels and deals like a posh politician, and poses like a popular preacher.

Why?

When the True Preacher left Earth (for a time), Satan began a massive building project: including grand churches and synagogues: structures known by impressive walls and rules… like Jerusalem's once-hallowed temple.

Then ‘The price of power of the air’ (Ephesians 2:2) expanded his campaign through media.

His purpose? Lies that lead to confusion… then to division… then to brokennessthen to the same displacement he endures: separation from God and Heaven.

But at the same time, the Carpenter constructs smaller temples. In the heart of every true believer is an unmatched, never-fail Power Source: God's Holy Spirit…

Shining in strength, wisdom, and unity– joining individual Christian hearts into a spiritual masterpiece: the resurrected church of Jesus Christ.

  • And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it' (Matthew 16:18).

The light from the Lord’s spiritual church is like a warm and welcoming beacon– calling the lost and lonely to come home.

Heaven is waiting with Arms open wide!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings. This series is a rewrite of a prior 2014 series.
