The Armor Of God: Joy

The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV)

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

James 1:2-4 (NLT)

A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Proverbs 17:22 (NASB)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

Philippians 4:4 (ESV)

When Satan starts to rain on your parade…

  • When he tries to quench the Fire within you,

  • When he clouds your mind with dark forebodings,

  • When fiery darts are falling around you,

Throw off your coat and run toward the light– laughing as your joy propels you skyward, revealing you as children of the Lord.

In the midst of this passionate display, your faith muscles are growing and showing.

Does this holy momentum come easy? No. It’s a decision. It takes discipline.

But don’t forget God’s marvelous response: When He sees your effort, He’ll come running.

As you’re enfolded in Your Father’s Arms, the devil and his dastardly demons have no choice but to turn their tails and flee.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

I realize that in adversity… choosing joy isn’t a common response. Nevertheless, it’s a godly response– and it works wonders!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If anything I write is on point and agrees with His Word, it’s not from me. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
