Giving: Illogical Returns

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38 (NIV)

Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of Heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”

Malachi 3:10 (NLT)

In regards to our money or assets, God says… the more we give, the more we get: a seemingly illogical return.

On the other Hand (namely, our Father’s), why would His systems bow to man’s logic? What a ridiculous waste of our time… trying to figure out omnipotence!

But it doesn’t take a whole lot of thought to perceive His exceeding abundance. Our passionate Dad gives passionately.

What does He ask from His kids in return?

  • That we return His love passionately– by loving Him beyond everything else.

  • That we love our “neighbors” passionately– by helping them and giving them what they need…

Which begs these questions:

  1. Who are our neighbors?

  2. Why should we help them?

  3. What if they’re not nice?

Consider these answers. Ask God for more!

  1. Your “neighbors” are the people close to you: your home, work, or school, and arguably, the “friends” you make on social media. Perhaps even strangers we “bump” into.

  2. If nothing on Earth is “accidental”, if no event is “coincidental”, then the people God places close to us are there for a reason. Do they need help?

  3. The love of God isn’t conditional. We all sin. We’ve all been “unloveable” to others. But as God extends undeserved mercy, so we should GIVE undeserved help and love.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Entertainment expands your “neighborhood”. One way you can give, one way you can help… is simply to walk these fields as a light: to give a gentle witness of the Truth!

Unfortunately, when talented Christians chose to stay home (while bitterly condemning Hollywood), the enemy dominated the field, and countless lost fans were further misled– about where to find hope and happiness.

You’re rising and shining to change all that, by giving them a better Way to walk!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
