I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

To me, the Great Commission is summed up in one failure-proof, mountain-moving word: LOVE!
But a second word stands right behind it: LIGHT! Trailblazers for God must walk in the light, seek the light, and BE the light in a dark world!

Candle on a stand, lamp without a shade, church without a roof, or town on a hill.
All the while, Satan scoffs in disrespect. In blinding protest, he flashes HEADLIGHTS, SPOTLIGHTS, FOOTLIGHTS, FLOODLIGHTS, and NEON SIGNS.
Why?
To distract us with artificial light: uncountable bulbs controlled by his hand.
To tempt us with his entertaining lights: bad opportunities made to look good.
To become channels for his programming: pinned to his screens like flies on fly paper.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Know these 3 things about the light of Christ:
It's natural and irrepressible. You WILL shine, because 'Light excels darkness' (Ecclesiastes 2:13).
It's gentle on the eyes that follow you. It does not overwhelm its audience, because 'Love is patient and love is kind' (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Light is best seen on a darkened stage. 'The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.' (Matthew 4:16).
The nearer you get to Him and His Word, the more you will shine for Him in this world. Therefore, follow your Commander closely, especially in the land of false light.
Behind Him, your trail will be sure and straight.
