Losers: Christian “Flavors”
Holy Father, keep through Your Name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one, just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me…
John 17:11, 21-23 (NKJV)
I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become one flock, with one shepherd.
John 10:16 (NASB)
To me, the “flavors” of the Christian faith are its branches and denominations. When I joined God’s adopted family at the unlikely age of 51, I was thrilled to be counted among them, but SHOCKED at how they smack-talked each other.
I get that their rules and customs vary (which in a cultural context makes sense:). They’re like flowers in the garden of God– each with a unique shape, size, and fragrance.
But His “gardens” became competitive…
Each claiming it best represents Jesus, but other worshippers aren’t biblical.
Each teaches Bible interpretations, but other opinions are clearly wrong.
The result? Division! DISUNITY!... which opposes our King’s fervent prayer in John 17.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
I believe you ‘Seek peace and pursue it’ (Psalm 34:14), as brothers and sisters in Christ should do! You seek common ground with other Christians– rather than seeking out specks you don’t like.
Because to do so would reflect poorly on the cause of Christ and cause divisions, which are bad enough in and of themselves. But re-reading His Words above (said twice), infighting keeps the world from believing!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
