Christian Pitfalls: Jealousy

I feel a divine jealousy for you…

In the Bible, God is jealous for us. Our Father deeply desires our safety, salvation, and life with Him in Heaven. HIS jealousy is a PEAK– not a pitfall!

Some stars are jealous for celebrity. They deeply desire its power and perks: a luxe life with famous people on Earth. This jealousy is a PITFALL- not a peak!

'For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there' (James 3:16).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Before we walked this world, Satan stalked it. A little while back, he opened a park: an amusement park of moving pictures… on flat screens, called “Arts and Entertainment.” Pretty soon, the screens morphed and multiplied. Now, most of us carry them in our hands!

We stare at a fascinating frenzy. It stills our bodies, and it moves our souls... toward jealousy.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You’re fearfully and wonderfully made. No one on Earth compares to UNIQUE YOU. God’s Word tells you who you are and should be. NEVER give anyone else that power.

'Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day' (Proverbs 23:17).

Remember your King: 'The chief priests had handed Him over because of envy' (Mark 15:10). 

Here’s The BIG Truth:

Jesus let “Envy”… mock, stalk, and kill Him, to NULLIFY ITS POWER over you.

  • So live free. Rise and shine. Become a star.

  • Be jealous for the hearts of every fan–

  • And even let them be jealous of you:

  • Jealous of your freedom, light, love, and joy.

  • Then show them the Way they can get them, too.

  • That's the wondrous upside of jealousy.*

'I magnify my ministry, if somehow I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen and save some of them' (Romans 11:13-14).
