Christian Pitfalls: Unforgiveness
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15 (ESV)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
The “Unforgiveness” pitfall kills and maims. It’s a dark and dreadful downward spiral: a willful descent– disguised as logic.
Logic?
In the eyes of the world, unforgiveness is a justifiable position… for UNjustifiable acts of harm.
But,
In the Eyes of the Lord, unforgiveness is a deadly hole without a ladder. Once you sink down to its furious floor, your heart, soul, mind, and dreams are seized (and persistently poisoned) by Satan.
Therefore…
If you’re holding on to gripes and grudges,
If you’ve lowered yourself by bitter words,
Stemming from thoughts of hatred or revenge…
If pain is spreading from the inside out,
EVICT THE DEMON CALLED “UNFORGIVENESS”!
In His Word, God makes His position clear: He forgives US… when WE forgive others. These two gifts are inextricably linked. As Earth’s only, wholly innocent Man, who was beaten, tortured, and crucified… Jesus demonstrated how it is done.
‘When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed Him to the Cross… “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing” ’ (Luke 23:33-34).
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
You’ve been given unusual talents to rise, show, and shine in media’s fields: the world’s most influential positions. To win key roles and represent God well…
Avoid the pitfall of unforgiveness!
If you're already there, humble yourself. Ask for a ladder. God will help you up with a tender smile. The steps may be hard. Take them anyway.*
The act of forgiveness is a grand show that can move other hearts to do the same!

P.S.
Pray for those who’ve hurt you (or your loved ones), and remember:
‘Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” ’ (Romans 12:19).
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
