The Taylor Swift Effect: Vulnerability
O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open.
2 Corinthians 6:11 (NKJV)
But we all, with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same Image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 (ESV)
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
Jesus was vulnerable on the Cross.
Undeservedly, no one has ever been more exposed than the Lord’s Firstborn Son. YET, in utter vulnerability, Christ’s utter strength was fully on display.
As the Word said and shows, time and again… our acknowledgment of human weakness is an invitation God won’t refuse– to reveal His transcendental power.
Returning to the Taylor-Smith Effect,
One of the superstar’s greatest strengths is sharing her own vulnerabilities! How she’s been hurt and how she got through it– which gives her fans hope… they can do it, too!
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
ALWAYS share your overcoming stories:
The pain you suffered,
Your embarrassments,
The mistakes you made,
Your fears and nightmares,
Your flat-out failures,
How you hurt others,
How others hurt you,
The prayers you need.
Even loneliness,
And especially, how you got through it!
Because suffering is relatable. You’ve been there. You’ve done that, and yet… you have hope! Hope that never, ever disappoints. God puts it this way!
‘Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have’ (1 Peter 3:15).
Exposing your vulnerabilities facilitates two-way communication. It reveals your strength, but even more… GOD’S, and how much He wants to give it to others!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
