Poor People: Rulish Religion

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

James 1:26-27 (NLT)

What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8 (NASB)

What is “pure and genuine religion?”

Didn’t Jesus Himself, His disciples, and Old Testament Prophets describe it? YES, and the Word makes one point crystal clear: It’s NOT rulish religiosity! The prophet Hosea puts it this way:

'I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings' (Hosea 6:6).

Why? Rules without love are form without substance! Now apply the quote below to Christians:

'Over time the Israelites began to worship other gods while continuing the ritual of the sacrifices. They 'obeyed the Law,' yet they did not display love toward God, and they did not truly know Him. Hosea's message was a response to Israel's hypocrisy. God desired their love over external practices of piety. He longed for His people to long for Him rather than simply continue a religious tradition.' *

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your rise pushes beyond rulish religion. By the unique nature of your journey, your narrow path requires a higher ground.

On the airwaves of modern media, surfing safely above the murky mess, refusing to be caught in the “judgment” net, you're lifting the standard of your SAVIOR!

Here's the funniest aspect of your trip: your love is WELCOME in Hollywood’s hills! Since the gifts of God's Spirit aren't rulish, they’re both desired and appreciated.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
