Poor People: Our Generation?

In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel, the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:4-6 (NIV)

A generation can be seen and judged by its consideration of the poor.

  • Do we ignore their dire circumstances, because of our self-absorbed busyness?

  • Do we tempt them to buy silly products, to enrich ourselves… through deceptive ads?

  • Do we flaunt our fancies in front of them, by featuring celebrity lifestyles?

  • Do we allow screens to raise our children, as fictional stars become their idols?

  • Do we look away as gangs recruit kids, leading them to crime, prison time, and death?

  • Do we look away at biased justice, where poor people become legal scapegoats?

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

YOU are this world’s saving generation! 'A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His Own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light' (1 Peter 2:9)!

YOU are…

  • 'The generation of the righteous' (Psalm 14:5)!

  • 'The generation of the upright' (Psalm 112:2)!

  • 'The generation of those who seek Him' (Psalm 24:6)!

  • 'Children of God without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world' (Philippians 2:15)!

So know your role, and don't think of blending. Your job is to shine: to rise from the old, to star on earth's screens, to be role models...

Yet in your pursuit of this assignment, don't prefer small bosses to the Big Boss. And don't forget your focus: POOR PEOPLE!

Poor People: Our Generation? (Part 21)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.

* Bible description of the end-times generation: 'In the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power... always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth' (2 Timothy 3:1-7).
