All Things: Were Given To Jesus

He is the Image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also the Head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the Blood of His Cross.

Colossians 1:15-20 (NASB)

Creation is an awesome mystery! Even though it’s described in the Bible, it’s bigger than our minds (as it should be.)* One thing Christians know:

The King of kings is the Head of ALL THINGS! “All things” include positions, possessions, governments, people, judgment– and the church.

Since Christians know the church is Christ’s body, what does that mean to us, His followers? I believe it means…

  • Jesus is the first Word and the last Word on how we look and react to… all things.

  • Because of His human experience, God set Him up to be our Role Model.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

ACTING like Him is your job description. Your talent is a shiny fishing hook: modern bait to draw attention His way. However, your life, specifically your off-stage behavior, is most urgent.

How did Jesus act? Most often, our 'Wonderful Counselor,' 'Prince of Peace' and 'Lamb of God' walked in love. His wrath fell on religious hypocrites, religious profiteers, and the devil.

So how should we act? As the body of Christ, we're 'The Lamb's Wife' (Revelation 21:9). Personally, I can't see the Lamb's wife complaining, judging, or stomping around.

I see her (us) as following His lead: walking 'Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness (and) self-control' (Galatians 5:22-23).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

If Christ is preeminent in all things, then in all things, love must be your main act.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
